To God be the Glory Again!

Yesterday Nadeem called the embassy in Bangladesh to see if they had received our approval from the Visa Center in the US. The lady who has helped us most recently told Nadeem that a separate department handles visas. The head of that department was busy, so we'd have to wait for them to call us back. Because we've already been through so much, every step and every conversation is filled with turmoil.
After an hour or so, another lady called back to let us know that they had in fact received our approval via email! A huge praise! She also said that we do not have to pay an additional $400 fee to apply for the visa because we already paid a large fee in Atlanta to get the I600A, and the visa is included in that fee. Another huge praise! Then we got some bad news. The lady said that we couldn't file for Kalina's visa yet because they had not received the paperwork from the USCIS in Atlanta. We hadn't heard anything about this. Nadeem explained to the lady that we must return home soon or else he will lose his position at work. He asked her to please do anything she could to help us. She said that Nadeem could come to the embassy that afternoon to submit the paperwork. However, we'd have to wait for them to get the needed papers from Atlanta before they could grant the visa. We tried to focus on the praises instead of the disappointing news. We hoped that they would accept the paperwork from Atlanta electronically.
Nadeem went to the embassy in the afternoon and came back with wonderful, amazing news! When they looked at all of our paperwork, they discovered that Nadeem had copies of everything they needed from Atlanta! Plus, all of our paperwork from Bangladesh for Kalina is complete. They told Nadeem to come the next day with Kalina and me for an interview! They would then collect our paperwork and application. They gave further incredible news-we could have the visa as early as Wednesday!!!!!! We're going to the embassy this afternoon (Monday)!! Keep praying and standing in faith! We could be coming home this weekend!!!!

Sherri, Nadeem and Kalina, I am so excited for you. Though this has been an unbelievable journey for you, God has used you as encouragement to your friends here and probably to many in Bangladesh. You have planted seeds of faith and belief you may never see grow but I have no doubt you have left the mark of God's glory. I know it won't be long before you will be on American soil. Kalina will see the home she will grow up in, and meet the rest of her loving family. I will continue to pray for your safe journey home.
Love, Eileen

"Thus the scripture was fulfilled that says, 'Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness,' and he was called the friend of God."--James 2:23

I pray that Our God is tearing down the mountain of red tape and all that stands in your way and you will be home by this w/e. God's angels are watching over your steps and get you all safely home.

Rejoice, sing praises, God is so good to us:)

Hi Sherri,
Congratulations on the your recent victories! Meagan and I have followed your blogs every day, plus watched the news coverage here. I have thoroughly enjoyed following the journey and am certain that you all will be thrilled to get home. Hopefully right in time for Christmas. I think it's great that you felt comfortable in sharing everything that you have--the good and the bad! It's amazing how wide reaching your blog has become. You've touched many, many people and shared your strong faith with everyone. It's been a long struggle, but you have your beautiful little Kalina and you will soon be home. I hope everything works out well in the next week or 2 in getting all 3 of you home safe and sound. You were a wonderful teacher to Meagan, and you will be wonderful lifelong teacher to Kalina.
I wish you the best, Pat

Praise the Lord! He is still working, and He is still in control!
I have been in Africa on a mission trip for the last 12 days, and have been unable to check on these updates, until today! What wonderful news! We rejoice with you and thank the Lord on your behalf.
May God continue to grant you grace as you face the last part of your journey, and may He bring you home soon to friends and family who have been praying for you!
To God be the Glory!
Amen!
